Mathematics is mysticism dressed in a concrete language mediating between God and humankind. It is an understanding that the dimensions of the Ark of The Covenant (2.5 cubits/1.5cubits = 1.7) and Noah's Ark (50 cubits/30 cubits = 1.7) fall upon the Fibonacci Sequence. This is not a coincidence. We embark on a treasure hunt (The God Arrow) pointing to the Creator, while we discover new definitions, dimensions, and descriptions of the world around us.
I wonder if God looks at our inventions like a father who looks at his two-year-old's drawing of a scraggly image with every imaginable crayon and says, "Look dad it's a Girophant!" Does God have a picture of the Eiffel Tower or The Taj Mahal on his refrigerator? Does he say to the angels, "Look it's an intriguing depiction of a monument -isn't it so cute?" Also, do they applaud and cheer us on in a universal ethereal chorus as we discover new ways of design?
Humankind was made in the image of God, the grand mathematician the greatest artist. That is why we create – AND our spark is this prime attribute of God within us: love. We have this capacity, and need, to love and create - and we do so very well. And this is what I have discovered as I traversed the path and its many tributaries soaking in the vast natural information. This is why I get out of bed every day – to build and to love.
