Dotted
Tonight, I am a constellation
of my scars and moles,
areas that do not explain themselves
in their piety.
Tumescent itches
pester fingers for attention,
brittle autumn twigs
rubbing at crow-pecked soil.
Wintering pipes
dredging yellow canals,
scavenger poachers
running through my field.
