they walk

they walk in silent rooms
full of motionless
ghosts, a socially
democratic home invasion

an almost impossible television
that flew badly, time
improving to become permanent
nighttime, a drunken stain

they walk in silent rooms
busily switching faces,
turning into telephones
and potential emptiness,

a technicolor home invasion
prefiguring death
