Six Hands

Six hands rise with the sunshine,
Six hands find their fingers in the new light,
Six hands find feet kicking them,
Six hands hope for work,
Six hands say they are satisfied,
Six hands push away the snow line,
Six hands run over wine-leaves, over the lintel,
Six hands are left in the meadow with a fan,
Six hands take the darkness and gallop away.
