the yesterday stork

yesterday
the crane alarming
flew away
i spent an eternity searching for discarded
and lost
pennies
on the pavement
the flustered crane fluttered off
then i chucked them in
a pale stagnant creek
full of envious scum puddles
and the rewinding crane or
stork
